The one thing that's evident is that when some players got elevated in bigger roles, they've played even better. I still think there's players that have more to offer in a bigger role. They're always looking for a bigger role, and now they get their opportunity.

The one thing you don't want to happen is that you start talking about common systems, for example, and you get the gold-plated toilet out the other end.

The only behaviour that is truly common is to avoid doing something because you think others might consider it common.

The only crystal ball even more difficult to read than where one's own personal situation may be is where the country is headed and what the country's economic situation will be in 20 or 30 years.

The players, the committee and everyone was pleasantly surprised at how well it was received. The fans came out in droves, showed that Winnipeg is still a hotbed of curling and we're looking forward to maybe even bigger crowds this year. That would be awesome.
