The players started requesting music a few years ago. They even request them by position, so the running backs will choose a particular song, and the quarterbacks will choose another one.

The people who met today aren't the people who work out the nitty-gritty details to make things happen. LSU will obviously be reimbursed for expenses and would not suffer financial losses from this arrangement. Beyond that, not a lot of details have been settled. They will emerge in the days to come.

The perfect guy either might not be out there or beyond our (financial) means.

The positive side is that we put together about 12 minutes of play where our offense, defense and kicking game played probably as well as we could play at this particular point of the season. That was only 12 or so minutes, though.

The potential here is a lot more efficient use of hardware, better centralized management, and potentially more flexibility with users in that they're not tied to a particular desktop device. I don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all approach, we'll probably end up with a combination of thin clients and various types of fat clients.
