The Keeshond breed seems to have been created in order to correspond to the dictum – “a dog, man’s best friend.” This is really so – the Wolfspitz has an amazingly harmonious character and loves people very much.

The American Kennel Club recognized the Keeshond in 1949.

The plural form of Keeshond is Keeshonden.

A Keeshond will dig a hole to lie in the ground where it is cooler during the summer and warmer during the winter.
