Press Windows + R and enter “%appdata%” in the dialog box.
In the AppData folder, first click on “.minecraft” and then on “versions”.
Go to the folder with the highest version number and open the JAR file inside with a packer like Winrar.
Navigate to the path “assets\minecraft\textures\painting” and extract the PNG files that you will find in the folder.
Open one of the image files in an image editing program such as Photoshop or Gimp.
Now insert your own images and save them under the same name as a PNG file.
Packs the image back into the JAR file and overwrites the existing file.

Painting on the door as a secret passage
Since a painting represents an object in Minecraft, not a block, you can do things with them that you are not used to doing with standard blocks. Therefore, paintings can also cover holes in the wall or doors, which can then be used as a secret passage.
