He starred opposite Sandra Bullock in the 2013 3D space thriller ‘Gravity’ directed by Alfonso Cuarón; In 2014, the film won several awards, including seven Oscars. In April 2014 he became engaged to lawyer Amal Alamuddin and on September 27, 2014 the couple married in Venice. In 2017 he wrote, directed and produced the crime drama “Suburbicon”.
